“The School Cuts campaign’s 2026-7 School Funding report was covered by Schools Week. The report states that schools have lost £300m in the least year alone, as they struggle to keep pace with costs and they have £4.5 billion less in real-terms funding than they did in 2010.
PISA 2025 Report
The 2025 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) report, published this week, showed that British pupils receive above-average support from their teachers.
At the same time, teachers are still being asked to do more with less – schools in England have among the largest classes and highest pupil numbers of any OECD country.
