Nominations open for the Steve Sinnott Award 2027

Districts and branches are invited to submit nominations for the Steve Sinnott International Solidarity Award, which recognises members who have made exemplary contributions to their school, branch, or district’s work on international solidarity.

The award seeks to foster and celebrate significant and exemplary contributions to international solidarity at the branch/district/school level.

Support earthquake relief efforts in Colombia

Districts and branches are asked to consider making a donation to Justice for Colombia’s emergency fundraising appeal in response to last month’s devastating earthquake.

The 7.4 magnitude earthquake, the strongest ever recorded in the country, killed over 300 people and caused widespread destruction to homes, schools and public infrastructure. Among those affected are some of JFC’s partner projects, supported by the NEU and other British and Irish unions.

National March for Palestine: 3 years of genocide – stop arming Israel

Saturday 10 October

Districts and branches are encouraged to promote and attend the National Demonstration for Palestine on 10 October in Central London to stand in solidarity with Palestine and demand that the UK Government end its complicity in Israel’s crimes.

The trade union bloc will assemble at 12 noon at Cleopatra’s Needle, Victoria Embankment. Bring your NEU banners and flags.
